davis and LauraMy name is Laura Sanders, and I live in Greenville, SC in a rural community referred to as “Blue Ridge.”  I live with mycrazy husband, Davis, and three kitties, Larry, Muxworthy, and Sam.  I was born an artist and have been drawing and doodling as ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon.

I have two grown children, a daughter in college and a son in the Army.

I have two useless degrees, one in Design that I received in 1990 (pre-CAD days), and one in Art Education that I received in 2007  (right before the 2008 Depression/Recession).

I currently work as an After School Director at Wellford  Academy of Science and Technology in Wellford, SC. I love my job!  After several years of trying to find a teaching job, I finally threw in the towel. I should never have tried to do that at my advanced age.  My initial certificate has expired twice, and I just don’t have it in me anymore to pursue a career in education.  So, I shall content myself to work on art in my own terms.

I have recently discovered Zentangle, and absolutely love it and all the possibilities it presents.
